ENERGY FIELDS is a group of small abstractions. I am trying to embody the emotional and mythical significance of human movement. I make the images freely, usually starting with a few gestures across the surface. Nothing is premeditated; my goal is to allow the image to reveal itself through my manipulation of the materials. I apply many layers of marks and gestures so the paintings are intimate and intensely-worked.
